AS961 is a working research network. The projects below are representative of what runs on it, and some of this work has appeared in demonstrations on The Serial Port, a YouTube channel covering networking and telecom technology.
Routing and overlay experimentation
We operate a multi-site overlay network: encrypted tunnels between points of presence, with dynamic routing across them. It serves as a live testbed for interconnection and overlay architecture, and it carries real announced address space, so experiments face real-world routing conditions rather than lab simulations.
Retro-computing connectivity
Old transports are underrated teachers. We run working dial-up modem infrastructure, bridging decades-old access technology onto the modern internet.
Lab and demonstration networks
Segments of our address space are dedicated to lab environments: test topologies, protocol experiments, and equipment evaluation that need genuine, globally routable addressing to be meaningful.
Commercial services
While research is our focus, Achieve Wireless continues to offer commercial services, including network monitoring and IP transport, on an individual-case basis. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
